The Education of the Minority
Minority children receive their education at Minority schools, but at public schools, as well. Minority schools are bilingual (about half of their classes are conducted in Greek and the other half in Turkish) and are governed by a special legal framework. Minority schools function mainly at the primary education level (primary/elementary schools). At the secondary education level there are two Minority middle + high schools and two religious/Islamic schools (madrasas).
