Greek Language Classes for Adults
The KESPEMs offer free-of-charge Greek language classes for adults, mainly for parents of Minority pupils, as a response to their demand. These classes aim at helping those who attend them learn spoken and written Greek or improve their Greek language skills. The classes are based upon a communicational approach to language learning. They take into account the level and the needs of the people who take them, and are focused on teaching various Greek language skills (such as oral communication, production of written speech, reading and comprehension of texts, etc.). The special educational materials used in these classes have been produced by the Project.
Adults may opt for morning or evening classes. Both are held twice a week in two-hour sessions; they start in October and are completed at the end of the school year. The classes are attended chiefly by Minority women. Therefore, one purpose of these classes is to empower these women socially, through teaching Greek – the official language of the land. The women who have attended the classes state that they now use Greek with more confidence and thus participate more actively in the local society.
Ιn the 2011-12 school year, Greek language classes for adults were held at the two central KESPEMs (in Komotini and in Xanthi), and in the smaller KESPEMs in Sapes, in Drosero, in Selero, and on Avantos Street in Alexandroupolis. In addition, such classes were also held at the Minority primary school of Kentavros, a village in the Xathni prefecture, upon the intense demand received from the parents there, and as part of the educational support actions of the Project that take place in the village.
In total, 223 adults attended all these classes.

In the 2012-13 school year, the classes began in the first ten days of October. They were held at the KESPEMs, but also at some Minority schools in areas where there are no KESPEMs but there was a high demand for such classes.
In total, 238 adults have attended this year’s classes.

The Greek language classes for adults continued in the 2013-2014 school year. In areas where there are no KESPEMs, but there was demand for such classes, the classes are held also this year at the Minority schools (at Kentavros and at Iliopetra).
In total, 176 adults are attending this year's classes (March 2014)

Course Finalization (June 2014)
During the "Open Days" at the KESPEMs, adult women who attended the greek classes received with joy and applause the successful attendance certificate and they talked about the how helpful were the classes for them.

Classes of 2014-2015
The Greek language classes for adults, also in the school year 2014-2015, continue at the two central KESPEMs of Komotini and Xanthi. Like the previous years, classes are held also at the Minority school of Kentavros, after the demand of the mothers, on the same time with the compensatory classes that are organized by the Project. Ιn March, in cooperation with the associates of mobile KESPEMs, they started classes also in Megalo Orfano after the demand of the School Councelor and the School Principal. The retistered adult students are, in total, 137, mostly women (March 2015)

Classes of 2015-2016
During the extension of the duration of the Project, the school year 2015-2016, continued the Greek language classes for adults at the central KESPEMs of Xanthi and Komotini and at the peripheral of Iasmos. Αt the same time, like the previous years classes are taking place at the Minority School of Kentavros and of Megalo Orfano, In response to the request the kids parents. The registered adult students are, in total, 114, mostly women (December 2015)

Adult Trip to Athens, April 25-27, 2016
On April, 25-27, took place the educational trip of the adult students of the KESPEMs to Athens. They participated 30 women and 3 men that already attend the Greek language classes at the KESPEMs. The group visited the Greek Parliament, the Museum of Islamic Art and the Acropolis Museum.
Adult trip to Kavala
On April 25, 2015 was held the trip to Kavala, in which were participated 92 adults (89 women and 3 men) who attended the Greek language classes at the KESPEMs of Iasmos, Kentavros, Komotini, Megalo Orfano and Xanthi. The adult students visited Kavala and enjoyed the sightseeing' of the town and the guided tour of the two museums of the area: the Tobacco Museum and the Wax Museum.
The Tobacco Museum of the City of Kavala was the trip's first stop. The students, in two large groups had the chance to see the displays for the cultivation and the production of tobacco and present their own experience, as long as some students deal with the cultivation of tobacco.
In their free time, together with their teachers, walked around the city of Kavala. Some of them visited the Fortress and the Halil Bei Complex, others walked to see the Town Hall and others had a picnic or went for a coffee or food. Next stop was Kipia. In Kipia, they visited the Wax museum of Theodoros Kokkinidis in three different groups and they also had the chance to meet the sculptor himself and to ask him different questions about the creation of the displays.
The excursion ended with a last stop at a famous pastry shop.
"Our puzzle": Travel guide book of Thrace
"Our puzzle" is a travel guide book of Thrace, made by "pieces" that were created by the adult students of the Program, under the project that was made through the classes. It consists of pictures and experiences, willingness to learn the greek language and it is a result of a joint effort.

Field Trip to Thessaloniki
On the 20th of April 2013 the adult students of greek classes took part in a trip to Thessaloniki in for sightseeing. In the trip took part 108 adults (4 men and 104 women, the majority of which are mothers of the KESPEMs students), that are participating in the greek classes that are organized by the KESPEMs of Selero, Evlalo, Iliopetra, Kentavros, Komotini, Iasmos and Kehros.
Screening of the movie "A touch of spice" at the place of Avlaia (KESPEM of Komotini)
On Tuesday 26 March 2013, on the ground floor of the KESPEM of Komotini, at the place of Avlaia screened Tasos Boulmetis film "A touch of spice" for the students of the greek classes of KESPEM Komotini. Parts of the movie were used for learning purposes.
An Educational Excursion to Thessaloniki
On April 20, 2013, as part of the classes for adults organized by the Project, a visit to Thessaloniki and a guided sightseeing tour of the city took place. The 108 adults (4 men and 104 women, most of them mothers of pupils who attend classes at KESPEMs) who took part in the excursion attend the Greek language classes organized at the KESPEMs in Selero, Evlalo, Iliopetra, Xanthi, Kentavros, Komotini, Iasmos and Kehros.
